About the Author

Penny Harris Smith lives in the Midwest with her husband of eighteen years and their two children. Smith earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University and completed graduate work in Business Administration at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Smith worked fourteen years for major corporations before putting her trust in a higher source and making radical changes to re-prioritize her life. Smith's desire is to write novels that help other's connect with God through his Word.

In addition to writing, she facilitates a series of workshops based on the biblical lessons in Simple Lessons. Simple Lessons is her second novel. Smith's first novel, "A Fenced Yard", teaches mothers and daughters about the power of love and the consequences of choices.
