Observations and perceptions are at the forefront of this fourth book by Tom Cribbin entitled, 'Cribbin Unplugged'. His noticeable speech impairment caused by cerebral palsy is the underlying theme as he markets his books in a rather unconventional way --- by going door-to-door. Tom's remarkable sense of self and humour are evident as readers live the adventures with him.

Mr. Cribbin's observations of people, with whom he meets at the door, are often priceless. From the doubting individual in the story 'Shut Up, Dear' to being upstaged by a girl in 'Little Amanda', Tom Cribbin's quick sense of wit is warm and engaging. Likewise, when confronted with an unfriendly person during his adventures, Tom always uses tactful decorum to ease the tension as he demonstrated in the story 'Rachel's Rudeness'.

In Tom's unique style of storytelling, readers will experience a range of emotions from laughter to wonderment as he describes some indelible mements of his youth.

Throughout this book, Tom shows inspiration to us by his incredible determination punctuated with wit.

Review:
Tom Cribbin is a walking, talking inspiration for anyone that meets him or reads his books. --D. George Ludgate, Adjunct Faculty; Baker College; (Flint, Michigan USA)

Tom Cribbin is a published writer of four books all focusing on his adventures with Cerebral Palsy. I say adventures because his day-to-day life consists of battling other's perceptions of him or dealing with the absurd and often humourous reactions to him in public.

Tom has a unique writing style, which is so engaging and so honest his readers immediately are drawn into his book. Tom writes about his trials and tribulations while teaching his reader about the misconceptions we are all guilty of. His book is a great example of how the human spirit can turn a difficult life affliction into a positive life lesson from which we all can learn.

Tom frequently speaks at the local elementary and secondary schools in our city. His informal talks have had a great impact on students of every age. They glean from his stories lessons about prejudice, about kindness, about empathy, and above all, about the strength of positive thinking. I can attest to the student's reactions as I have had Tom Cribbin into my classroom numerous times. His style, his wit, and his demeanour immediately engage my senior students. They learn from him that they too can do whatever they set their minds to regardless of the possible obstacles.

i strongly urge to consider Tom Cribbin's CRIBBIN UNPLUGGED book for your reading enjoyment. --Krystal Butler; (Sarnia, Ontario CANADA).
