Synopsis

This is the first volume in the "Adventure Series". The author has written the series in such a way that they do not need to be read consecutively to be enjoyed as each volume is a story unto itself. However, once one has read the first volume the desire to follow the lives of the characters is intense indeed and the author at no time disappoints his readers by providing in each volume a complete surprise. The story of "The White Priest" takes place in a forgotten Buddhist monastery concealed "in the high drifting clouds" of Western Mongolia. Hidden amongst the trees is Altan Tobchi, the Golden Button, under the wise guidance of Master Chan, Lhalu the Tibetan. Here, Buddhist monks risked their own lives to shelter those fleeing the armies of both sides, the Russian and the Chinese.

About the Author

Born in Europe, the author was exposed to both pre war and WWII years, seeing man at his worst, most evil, most cruel and at his best, people helping others under the most inhuman conditions. It is perhaps this preparation that made him even more equipped to become the poet and novelist that he is today. After the war, he educated himself and was the recipient of his country's national literary award for his Durnberger Hexameter. He is internationally known as a lecturer, writer and world leader of the Neo Ch'an Buddhist Temple.
