Starting a business is the ultimate dream for many hopeful entrepreneurs. The Canadian best-selling Business For Beginners demystifies this complex process by guiding the reader through each step, right from the often-asked question: Where do I start? The message this book carries is universal. The key to its success is simplicity. Written in a down-to-earth, grass roots friendly style, this book leaves no stone unturned yet doesn't frighten or threaten the reader with complex word usage.
Business For Beginners is full of helpful resources, check lists, quizzes and samples. It is being used in various self-employment courses as a text and resource book, including classes where English is a second language and in high school entrepreneurial courses. END

"Few books come close to Business For Beginners in its simplicity and user-friendly style. Congratulations and bravo to Frances." -- Allan holender, Host, The Homebiz Show
"Halleljuah! At last someone has offered a thorough course in business start-up that's understandable by the neophyte. I congratulate Fran, because Business For Beginners fills the niche that no one seemed to want to fill." -- Tony Wanless, Money and Small Business Writer, The Province Newspaper, British Columbia
"I'm only half-way through your book and have to honestly say that it is one of the best, if not the best book on small business I have read-and I have read lots in my time. I have found that most other small biz books are too institutional, which in most cases creates confusion, not clarity. I think it would be safe to say that there is genius in your simplicity." -- Mike Phipps, Marketing, Delta Chamber of Commerce
"The CFDC has incorporated Frances McGuckin's "Business For Beginners" into our Business Plan training course. We find the book to be especially helpful to client who are first-time entrepreneurs. The easy to read format and "back to basics" approach is just what we have been looking for in training material." -- Susanna La Chance-Watson, Community Futures Development Corp
