In a long career, he was on the cusp of technological innovation on projects such as the Normandy invasion, the Ford plant at Dagenham, the Tube, and even the Channel Tunnel. BOOK CONTENTS --This book is part memoir, part history of technological advances in engineering, and part a history of the construction of tunnels. He begins with an 88 page history of tunnels. Then the book consists of about 140 pp of his own experiences.
