His family settled in Saskatchewan just before it was a province. Read more about Goose Lake, James Rose, Mickey Mackay, Orange Order, Grey Dort, and Red Fife. A few b/w images (and one map) assst text. Avondale was the name of the local one-room school. Author has flat-signed the half-title. Cond : Paper wrapper is light brown with darker brown lettering and graphics. Avondale school is presented on the cover by Irene Poskitt. Volume is tight, bright, square,and clean. No names nor marks. No creases, no tears. Collectible quality.
