The Author has spent much of his life living and working in communities dependent on the forest industry. With a career devoted to logging, heavy construction, forestry, engineering, environment and management, he has observed most and participated in many of the dramatic changes in BC's forest evolution since World War II. He was very critical publicly, of the heavy-handed tactics of several big forest companies, when the Provincial Government of the day was awarding major timber positions in the North. His book, "TNT BC", presents a surprising thesis: land reform is required to provide the incentive for increasing the productivity of BC's forests.
