From the Back Cover

Gerald Higginbotham and Joyce Coleman promote a profoundly fascinating concept. It is the concept that consumers cooperatively and collaboratively produce and manage the production and distribution of the very goods and services that they consume. By doing so, consumers therefore build wealth and develop assets in the communities in which they reside. This is a positive prescription to save our country from the recent near-collapse of our economy, by providing the means to rebuild our communities that were devastated by it.
