A Man's State of Mind was the first book I completed. The story itself holds a special place in my heart because of the timing of the story, and because it has created the voice I am attempting to develop.

I write to convey stories of real life and honesty. I write to counteract the images placed upon a generation of Black men raised by single mothers (who did and are doing a fantastic job), I write to counteract the heroes of this generation (Blaxploitation superpimps and pushers).

I write to share and give hope. Regardless of any awards, rewards, it is the word and the reaching of as many people as possible, that matters.
