It's a funny little story
I'm sure you're never heard
You may think it's kind of silly
if you comb your hair
before you go to bed
In the morning when you wake up
you have tangles in your head
The tale is so surprising,
so startling, and so merry
It really is the fault
of little Tangle Fairies

Steve Tiller was born. He is not very old compared to rock using the carbon 14 dating system. He has three children Rachel, Katie, and Benjamin whom he dearly loves. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia. He tries to live each day with a happy heart since the logical alternative does not hold very much appeal. From School Library Journal:
K-Gr 2-In this trivial story in rhyme, children fall asleep at night with neatly combed hair, only to wake up with a headful of tangled locks. How does this happen, one asks? The explanation lies in the Tangle Fairies, teeny creatures that live under mattresses and wrap around pieces of hair. They wait until their host is fast asleep, and then creep out of their hiding spots to wreak hair havoc throughout the night. The verses are awkward at best, e.g., "When they are sure that all is all right/They slowly begin to slip into sight/Signaling their friends to come out and play/To make most of the night before coming of day." There is one punctuation mark, a period, on the last page of the story. The Adobe Photoshop illustrations do little to enhance the story. While the concept of the book is certainly an imaginative one, the end result is too tangled in distracting rhymes to attract much attention.
