Robin Atkins is an internationally-known bead artist, instructor, author, and speaker. A studio artist since 1985, her beadwork includes framed, sculptural, and wearable pieces. Although she is skilled in all types of beading, her greatest passion is bead embroidery.
The primary focus in Robin's books is the exploration of creativity and the development of personal style. She is also known for her research and knowledge about the history of beads and bead-making technology.
Robin is the author of numerous books, including The Complete Photo Guide to Beading, Beaded Embellishment, One Bead at a Time, Beaded Treasures, and Spirit Dolls, as well as a contributing artist to other books and magazine articles. She is the founder of The International Bead Journal Project, started in 2007. She teaches at national conferences and for guilds around the country.
