Molly also appeared on a local TV health segment and was profiled on a CNN Health Accent program featuring Dr. Sanjay Gupta.Review:
Lot s of attention has been paid to how interstitial cystitis can affect the patient.....but how about the couple? Clearly this chronic condition can have a disastrous effect upon interpersonal relationships; entwined in difficulties with sexual intimacy, frustration, unwanted lifestyle changes, and poor communication. Regarding these issues, Patient to Patient: The Interstitial Cystitis Guide for Partners is a sensitive and empowering book with helpful suggestions for both patient and partner. The book is the next best thing to being at a great support group meeting! --Robert Moldwin, M.D.
Honest, Sincere & Insightful...this book is a must read for all couples living with interstitial cystitis. Communication is so important when dealing with a disease that affects one s sexuality. This book demonstrates that through open honest communication couples affected by interstitial cystitis can and do experience complete loving, intimate relationships. --Cindy Sinclair, President - ICU of Texas
Reading this book brought back memories for us. We could relate to the heartfelt stories and painful personal experiences of newly diagnosed IC patients and their spouses. Too often the physical pain of one partner's IC magnifies the impact of any miscommunication between partners. The sad result is that both then feel emotionally wounded and alone. Reading this book together can be a springboard to better communication in any IC-challenged relationship. For the newly diagnosed, it can open a much needed frank dialogue and help keep the partnership strong and thriving. We'd definitely recommend this easy-to-read book. --Beverley and Charlie Laumann
