About the Author

Mitchel Whitington is an author and lecturer who lives in Jefferson, Texas. His home, The Grove (also known as the Stilley-Young house), is an 1861 steamboat-era home that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Mitchel is a member of both the Marion County Historical Commission and the Historic Jefferson Foundation.This is Mitchel's second book covering the historic topics of Jefferson, TX.
