About the Author
Jeanne I. King, Ph.D. earned her doctorate in Psychology from Northwestern University in 1979. She is a psychologist and consultant with twenty years of clinical experience in behavioral medicine. She has been in an abusive relationship with an obstetrician gynecologist for seventeen years. Her plight with her three children has given her an extrodinary understanding of family violence and legal domestic abuse. Dr. King has donated her expertise in the social and psychological dynamics of battering to the Foundation of Inner Sanctuary, a non-profit foundation dedicated to breaking the cycle of violence in family and community.
