About the Author:

MARK R. WILLIAMS is a freelance writer living near San Francisco. In Europe he worked as a contributing writer for the International Herald Tribune (Paris) and senior staff writer for Lookout Magazine (Spain). Later, he was editor of Chevron USA/Odyssey magazine and a contributor to the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, and many other publications. Williams' published books include Northern California: Off The Beaten Path and The Story of Spain. He has an M.A. in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Williams spent several years researching and writing In Search of Lemuria, including extensive travel in southern Asia, the Pacific islands, South America, Mexico, Arizona and California. Along the way he grappled with evolution, plate tectonics, Quantum Mechanics, holograms, Eastern mysticism, and "New Age" theory on subjects such as channeling and reincarnation; mind power and firewalking; crystal healing and teleportation. All the experiences described in his book are based on actual fact.
