About the Author

Les Smith,is an artist, carpenter, and a master in the old art of log furniture building.Les got his first experience in carpentry in the T.V. studios back in the 70s building sets for shows like "SUNNY & CHER" show "DONNEY & MARIE OSMOND" show etc. Ten years ago he started building with logs & has never stopped! In december of 1999 Les smith started teaching a class thru Colorado Free University. Students that signed up for the class payed for tuition & materials totaling $150.00 The projects the students completed were theirs to take home.At the end of the day everyone was happy. Some of the projects they built in the one day class had a retail value of between $100 & $300.00.Three hundred students later there is now a book. Co-author: Dan Swesey carpenter,instructor,talented log furniture builder shared his knowledge to help make this book complete.
