Life is what s happening while you re busy doing other things. This book is a gathering of bits and pieces of my own life. I tried to live it in a way to maximize enjoyment and minimize regrets. I lived deeply every day learning to love life and little children, to laugh a lot, mostly at myself and to enjoy living. I offer it to you in a collection of short stories intended to entertain, to give pause to remember and maybe to contemplate your own future. Wealth is not measured in gold or by how many mourn when you die. True riches are the number of people along the way who are glad you lived at all. Don t take yourself too seriously. Enjoy!

About the Author

Ben Mukkala is a native of Marquette, Michigan where he graduate from Gravaraet High School and Ball State University in Indiana. He enlisted in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War, rose through the ranks, served a tour in Southeast Asia flying F-4 Phantom jet fighter-bombers. Ben retired in 1970 with the rank of Major. After retirement, Ben flew various aircraft, sailed boats, and traveled. He enjoys the outdoors and an active life. He began writing during his Air Force career and been published in several flying and outdoor magazines and various newspapers. He has published several books. He is the father of three daughters and one son, and stepfather to two sons and four daughters. He currently lives on the shore of beautiful Lake Superior with his wife, Dorothy, just east of Marquette, Michigan.
