This outstanding CD trains cardiac professionals through an interactive
question and answer method. The CD is stocked with thousands of questions, answers, and explanations written in plain language by and for cath lab personnel (not physicians). Learning can be fun with all this CD's sound effects, color graphics, animations, moving cines, and interactive games. Cath lab professionals use this CD and associated books to prepare for CCI's "Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist" (RCIS) exam, CV Science exam, do in-service education, or earn continuing education credits.
This CD contains 60 chapters from Todd's review books and 20 new chapters and games. Since the CD and books are closely correlated, many students find it useful to study using both the CD and the books. This maximizes your study time, by allowing you to study the books when away from the computer.
Todd's CV Review CD is modeled after CCI's RCIS exam, and contains all the Cath Lab knowledge you need to pass these difficult national exams. It includes test taking strategies and tips, plus providing lots of practice answering questions similar to those on the national exams.
This CD covers the same content as Todd's CV Review Book, 5 volume set, (which is also for sale on Amazon.com.) and Todd's CV Science set. It is designed for PC machines with CD rom drives, and once it is installed it can run directly from the CD which requires very little computer memory.
The CD is easy to navigate either by mouse or keyboard - just click on a chapter and select a mode of study: easy, standard, or difficult. It keeps records on each user and prints out completion certificates, which may be used for in-service education and continuing education credits. At the end of each chapter the user can save and print out his/her final percentage results and other statistics.
In the practice test section users can take simulated science and RCIS exams. The correct number of questions will be pulled from each category to mimic the exam matrix weights for a CCI exam. Then you may view your itemized score in each category of the exam. This helps you evaluate your weak and strong areas and direct your study.

1. Prepare for CV Science and RCIS exam
This CD is modeled after CCI's RCIS exam, and contains all the Cath Lab knowledge you need to pass these difficult national exams. It includes test taking strategies and tips, plus providing lots of practice answering questions similar to those on the national exams. The CD has randomly generated Science and RCIS practice exams that itemize your score in each category of the exam. This helps you evaluate your weak and strong areas and direct your study.
2. In-service Education
Hospital educators may use the CD to train their staff, and test their knowledge for various levels of competency within the cath lab. The CD's "easy mode" provides a short tutorial for each question. Explanations are thorough referenced to standard cardiology textbooks. Multiple choice and matching questions tests the staff member's understanding of this study material. Students can then print completion certificates to document their score on each section.
3. Continuing Education
Students may earn CEU credits by passing a chapter in "difficult mode." The CD is set up to reward successful students by printing out a special CEU certificate . Each chapter is assigned a specific number of credits, based on the number of questions and the estimated study time. We are currently exploring how these may be sent in to various organizations for approved continuing education credits.
