From the Author:
I started telling my son Woodfin stories when we lived in Key West. Every afternoon at naptime, we would sit in the backyard and I would weave stories about a magical chameleon and his friends. Pretty soon lots of other kids were joining us before their naptimes! Fifteen years later, I wrote the stories down. I created Woodfin to be an enduring character that kids would look forward to spending time with - like I did with my favorite characters while I was growing up. Woodfin encounters adventures and difficulties, but it's important to me that he and his friends find non-violent resolutions to all of their problems.
