Synopsis
Following the International Bible Society's plan for reading the Bible through in a year (some Old Testament, some New, and a Psalm or Proverb each day), The Word in Real Time presents a daily devotional for each day of the year taken from that specific day's reading. This gives the reader "real time" insights as he or she reads the Bible through in a year. The book includes 28 interactive pages for reflection and personal prayers. An inspirational guide for keeping on track in daily Bible reading. 406-page paperback.

About the Author
Kathy Slamp has a varied background. Growing up in Alaska, she was raised in a pastor's home. Kathy has served the role of pastor's wife, educator (teaching all levels and becoming a school administrator), speaker, author, and on board naturalist for a major cruise line in Alaska. Kathy's speaking ministry, Vessel Ministries, has taken her coast to coast where has spoken at retreats, seminars and other engagements to groups of all sizes and many different denominations. Her life experiences, spiritual depth and ability to relate to ordinary life to the Scriptures make her someone with whom people easily relate. She and her husband, Dr. David Slamp, reside in Washington and are involved in Bible teaching ministries around the world. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Through her speaking and writing, Kathy inspires and challenges her audiences to grasp the basic and vital Biblical concept: We are all chosen to carry this amazing treasure: Christ in you is the hope of glory. As Christians in this world, God chooses to use each and every one of us as His vessels!
