Synopsis
This book is about how to raise children that are an ongoing source of delight, children that cheerfully obey when asked to do something, children that joyfully walk with God, children that grow into adulthood all the while becoming good, honest companions. I must be clear on something: godly, joyful, obedient, and honoring children are what God intends. Further, they’re what He’s provided for; not in a sparing, stingy sort of way, but in an unwavering and bountiful way. Children like that are neither utopian nor abnormal. They can be raised in Moscow, Idaho and they can be raised in Manhattan or Los Angeles. They are what He has in mind when He gives them to us and then charges us to "train them up in the way they should go."
Have you ever thought this might not be true? If you have, I want to reassure you and put to rest some common misconceptions. For instance, the idea that teenagers are somehow fated to be rebellious and drift away from their parents, or that the two’s will necessarily be terrible, or that siblings are destined to bicker and quarrel. There’s not a word of truth in these. In all three instances God intends the opposite to be true. He not only intends it, He provides for it. And He can bring it about in your home.
About the Author
Lawrence Lucas lived in California until, at age 18, he left to attend college in Moscow, Idaho. It's in Moscow that he married, raised a family, helped plant and pastor churches, built a professional practice and co-founded Logos School. It's in Moscow that he lives today, working, writing, teaching and learning.

Condition: Acceptable. LIGHTNING FAST SHIPPING! A heavily used, but still working copy. Coffee stain and wrinkling to the edge of the pages when a tired undergrad fell asleep and knocked their cup over on their books. The binding and pages of the book have been reinforced with tape, has tape and stickers on the cover, as well as lots of notes (some of the answers in the learning activities may be filled in) on the pages.
