The Skydiver's Survival Guide 2nd Edition is a comprehensive manual of safety information for intermediate skydivers. PIER MEDIA is parachuting's leading distributor of skydiving training videos such as "Break-Away" and "Pack Like a PRO."

This book is the result of several years of research on the best and most up-to-date training information available in sport skydiving. Authors Kim Emerson and Marcus Antebi have developed a simple approach to cover the FIVE PHASES of skydiving: (1) gear selection; (2) load organizing, boarding, spotting, and exiting; (3) freefall; (4) potential deployment problems; (5) canopy control and landing.

Not only is the second edition an informative guide, but it is loaded with terrific images and tongue-in-cheek humor, and promises to be an entertaining part of any skydiver's safety training. Keep current and get the latest tips and recommended procedures with this must-have handbook.

About the Author:
Kim Emerson made his first skydive in 1989 and has since logged about 4,000 jumps. His earliest love was for freestyle, and he was among the first American sitfliers in DeLand, FL. in 1992, where, with Niklas Gummeson and others, he helped to create the now standard exit known as the train. Kim was a USPA rated AFF Instructor for six years, Safety & Training Advisor for six, and is currently President, as well as Executive Director, at The Blue Sky Ranch in Gardiner, NY. Kim is also a videographer and video editor. His articles on hook turns, Team Firestarter and the final World Skydiving Convention at Quincy, Ill. were published in Drop Zone International Magazine, where he was Assistant Editor until that magazine went in after three fabulous issues. Kim lives in New York with his wife, Kate, two cats, a dog and ten chickens.

---------------------------------------------

Marcus Antebi made his first jump in 1992 and has since logged 2,200 jumps. Marcus founded PIER Media and produced several best selling skydiving videos such as "Swoop," "Break-Away," "Fly Like A Pro," and "Pack Like A Pro." Marcus owned and operated PIER LTD, a skydiving equipment mail order company, for 6 years, 4 years of that time operating from The Blue Sky Ranch in Gardiner NY. He now lives and works in New York City and still skydives at The Blue Sky Ranch.
