Synopsis
In Mumbo Jumbo, the second book in the Mabel's World series, Mabel, Max, and the rest of their class take a field trip to the library and are introduced to how new words are created and constantly added to the English Language. Mabel and her friends are wildly excited about making up a new word with the hope of getting it into the dictionary. All of this enthusiasm leads Mabel and Max on an additional unintended adventure that, in the end, allows them to begin using their newly created word. About the Author
Christine D'Amico, just as with Mabel and her friends, has found endless adventures within the walls of the public library. Christine is the author of Higgledy-Piggledy, the first book in the Mabel's World series, as well as a book on pregnancy entitled, The Pregnant Woman s Companion. She has an undergraduate degree from the College of St. Catherine and a masters degree from the University of Minnesota. She works in youth education and lives in San Diego, California, with her husband and three children, all of whom keep her on her toes with daily doses of mumbo jumbo.
