About the Author

Lynda Katz Wilner, M.S., CCC-SLP, of Successfully Speaking in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area and Marjorie Feinstein-Whittaker, M.S., CCC-SLP, of The Whittaker Group in Boston, are corporate speech trainers and licensed Speech and Language Pathologists. Their respective companies specialize in designing communication programs for second language speakers and professionals in the business/financial, high technology, and scientific and medical professions. Their goal is to help professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds achieve excellent communication skills so that they may reach their full professional potential. Lynda Katz Wilner has authored Medically Speaking: Accent Modification for the Medical Profession and The Medically Speaking Inventory: An Assessment Tool for Accented Speech. Marjorie Feinstein-Whittaker has co-authored a number of training materials including Mastering Idioms of American English (MIAE), Volumes 1 and 2, with Lorna D. Sikorski, and Speak Freely: Aspects of Voice and Communication, with Shannon Jones.
