Barbara Allan grew up in Huntsville Alabama. Her mother was one the computer programmers, back when computers were still in their infancy, who calculated the flight trajectories for the moon launch rockets. Her grandfather was one of the German missile scientists on the Van Braun team who designed and built those same Saturn rockets used to send men to the moon.
After having grow up with family members so intimately involved with sending men to the moon, perhaps it is no wonder that Barbara never even considered the fact that it might not be possible to cure arthritis.
She was certainly in the right place at the right time, when arthritis struck her. She was in a Ph.D. program studying molecular biology at Washington University in St. Louis, one of the premier medical research centers in the United States. She had the right training, she had access to the right information, and perhaps most importantly she had the tenacity to not give up until she had found the critical details that others have overlooked or not understood in their proper context.
She devoted 11 years of her life to her magnificent obsession--her dream of healing from arthritis. And she succeeded. And not only that, she has now written an upbeat, well-written manual for other who want to do the same thing.
In the 1960s the dream of sending men to the moon was just that--a dream. But through the focus, hard work, and optimism of hundreds and thousands of Americans that dream became reality.
Until recently the dream of healing from arthritis was just that--a dream. But through the focus, hard work, and optimism of Barbara Allan and the hundreds and thousands of medical researchers and practitioners from around the world, whose work made Barbara's innovations possible, the dream of healing from arthritis is now a reality. Through Barbara's book, Conquering Arthritis, this healing reality is now available to anyone with arthritis who wishes to undertake that journey.
