Richard Knowles is President of Richard N. Knowles and Associates, Inc., and a global leader in helping organizations shift their culture towards excellence. His work with teams at all organizational levels in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and the UK over the last 17 years.
He is the creator of the Process Enneagram© which is the only known tool that helps people to solve complex problems, opens the social connections they'll need and builds the emotional energy and commitment to get he job done quickly...all at the same time! It seems to be the missing link between complexity theory and practical application.           
His interests and expertise are broad and proven. He holds 40 US Patents, and lead a market development group for DuPont. He held manufacturing assignments at Repauno, NJ, Chambers Works, NJ (as Assistant Plant Manager), Niagara Falls, NY (Plant Manager, 8/83-3/87), Belle,WV (Plant Manager, 4/87-1/95). In his final DuPont assignment he served as Director of Community Awareness, Emergency Response and Industry Outreach. He was the 1992 Recipient of the DuPont Agricultural Products Crystal Award for the Championing of Human Potential. In 1995 he received the EPA Region III Chemical Emergency Planning and Preparedness Partnership Award. He retired from DuPont in 1996.
His community activities include establishing industry/community dialogue groups such as the Industrial Liaison Committee in Niagara Falls in March of 1985, and the Belle, West Virginia Community Advisory Panel in early 1990. He was on the American Chemical Council Community Awareness and Emergency Response Task Group from 9/87 to 12/96 serving as Chairman in 1995-1996. From 1990 to 1995 he was a member of the WV State Emergency Response Commission. He helped lead Safety Street, Managing Our Risks Together, a 1994 groundbreaking risk communications effort in the greater Charleston, WV region.
