Anatomically Detailed Drawings for Use in Sexual Abuse Investigations, published in 2004, provides a complete set of male and female Asian/Pacific Islander, Black/African-American, Latin/Hispanic, and White/Caucasian anatomically detailed drawings, front and back views. Age ranges include Young Childhood, Middle Childhood, Adolescents, Young Adults, and Older Adults. The backdrop of each drawing is a bathroom scene to help children feel more at ease with drawings that are set in a more natural setting for nudity. The set of 80 drawings come in a hard-cover ring binder to facilitate copying of the drawings. Each pair of drawings (front and back views) is printed on matte presentation paper and held in a non-stick, heavy duty protector sheet for frequently used documents to protect the original set of drawings and for easy copying and unlimited use by purchaser. All books come with a copy authorization signed by the author in red ink, allowing the purchaser to make unlimited copies for use in individual investigations. All books also come with a general instructions page outlining the recommended procedures for use of the drawings.

Dr. Sherrie Bourg Carter, a forensic psychologist, is co-director of the Institute for Behavioral Sciences and the Law. She has been retained to consult on cases throughout the country and has experience at both the Federal and State level. She has testified as an expert witness over 1000 times. Her areas of expertise are parent-child and child-child homicides, child sexual abuse, child witnesses, domestic violence, insanity, and penalty phase evaluations; and she has been qualified in Court as an expert in all of these types of cases. Dr. Bourg Carter also is an adjunct professor at the Shepard Broad Law School at Nova Southeastern University, where she lectures on topics related to children in the legal system as well as expert witnesses. She also has taught and supervised doctoral students in the School of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Bourg Carter s publications include articles on Crawford v. Washington and it impact on child witness cases; competency to testify and child witnesses; malingering; domestic violence; child sexual abuse; and child custody. Her most recent book, Children in the Courtroom: Challenges for Lawyers and Judges, was published in July, 2005 by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA). Some of her other recent publications include The "Do You Know" Book, a booklet for establishing child witness competency; and Working with Child Witnesses: A Guide for Law Enforcement Officers and Child Protection Workers. Dr. Bourg Carter holds a Bachelor of Science degree, two Master of Science degrees - one in Experimental and one in Clinical Psychology, and a Doctorate degree in Psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at UNC-Chapel Hill School of Medicine and at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Butner, North Carolina.
