In my early months of studying Italian, I scoured bookstores to find something to read outside of the textbook. Unfortunately, there was nothing for an advanced beginner or intermediate-level student. Thus the idea for writing this book was born.

About the Author:

Jean Farinelli is a first-generation American born of Italian immigrants. She spent 16 years as the President and CEO of two major public relations firms before establishing her own consultancy in 1999. She also is a contributing editor to Women's Business New York. She began studying Italian in 2001.

Dott.ssa Giuliana Schlempp is a native-born Italian and an Italian language instructor in New York City. She has a degree in linguistics and is fluent in four languages. She has authored a grammar book for students learning Italian as a second language.
