Lynne M. Clos is a paleontologist and paleoartist/publisher by trade, and her hobbies include raising plants and animals that are "living fossils." In the plant kingdom this consists of numerous cycads and the Wollemi pine; in the animal kingdom her particular interest is the silver arowana, which is little changed since the Jurassic Period. She has been keeping silver arowanas as aquarium fish for six years and presently is the guardian of one magnificent male that is 31 inches long, as well as a foot-long youngster.
