Synopsis

Have you ever considered why God created you?

The Bible teaches that the principle reason God created us was to have a relationship with Him. And His design for this relationship is rooted in the first recorded words He speaks to man, "Be fruitful and multiply."

If you desire to understand God's purpose for you, a study of The First Commandment is a good place to begin. Author William H. Noah discusses how God's initial precept to be fruitful and multiply is given again and again throughout the Scripture to generations of believers. From the Garden of Eden to the parable of the sower, Noah explores the physical and spiritual meanings of fruitfulness and multiplication, as well as their role in personal intimacy with God and the spreading of the Gospel. As you discover how the True Vine can make you bear spiritual fruit that contains the seed of Christ, you will begin to experience the life you were created to live--a life of abundant, fruitful living.

About the Author

Dr. Noah practices pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with his partners at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is the founder of the Middle Tennessee Center for Lung Disease and the Sleep Disorders Center. Dr. Noah and his partners are all involved in Medical Missions around the world and Dr. Noah currently serves on the board of Hopegivers International.

While attending a board meeting for Hopegivers several years ago, Dr. Noah became aware of his ignorance regarding Bible origins. He immediately stopped almost every activity outside his family and began to study only scripture as well as its origin. He even cut his medical practice back. He found that the most incredible story not in the Bible was the story of the Bible — specifically the early English translations. Seeing a huge need within churches as well as the general public to know this story, he arranged an exhibit for Murfreesboro in April 2003. He brought in ancient, biblical antiquities from some of the world’s finest collections, and expert commentary from some of the world’s most renowned scholars. During a three-week exhibition, 30,000 people attended.
