About the Author:
Jim Hassett, Ph.D. is President of LegalBizDev which helps lawyers develop new business by applying best practices from other law firms and from other professions. Before working with lawyers, he had over 20 years of experience as a sales trainer and consultant to large firms and small ones including American Express, the Bank of New York, the Bank of America, TD Waterhouse, State Street, TIAA-CREF Telamon Insurance, and many others. Jim has written 6 books, including Legal Business Development: A Step by Step Guide and more than seventy articles for publications ranging from the New York Times Magazine to Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. He received his Ph.D. from Harvard University, and is an adjunct associate professor of psychology at Boston University.
