"Growing up on a potato farm in southern Idaho provided plenty of time to daydream about adventures and characters. I started writing short stories in elementary school and had poetry published in national anthologies in high school. My book of children's stories includes both prose and poetry styles that result in a rhytmic text that is perfect to be read aloud to children. These stories include tall tales that I used to tell my own children. As an advocate for literacy, it is my goal that adults and children appreciate the joy of reading."
