Synopsis
The Jamison family struggled with their family relationship. Only when their son Chad was arrested and charged with a drug offence did Ian and Miriam recognize the need for a true miracle to happen in their lives. The presiding Judge sentenced the entire family to a period of time at an old lodge at Lake Sandoza. This was the beginning of their renewal.
As you read of the Jamisons struggle with past hurts and anger towards one another, their journey will engage you. Readers can easily identify with the Jamison family – their chaos, their hurts, their problems. But, as they begin to find themselves, we feel their hope, and join them on this journey of the heart … to the other side of here!

About the Author
Ross MacInnes is the author of the best-selling Children In The Game. The book descibes his work - both as a police vice-squad commander and as the director of a social justice agency - through a series of actual case studies and a model of intervention designed to win back the trust of youngsters caught up in a world of drugs, violence and prostitution, and help them leave the street.
Ross has begun to apply the results of his latest research in the "Higher Trails" program at the Project 118 Youth Ranch in Western Canada. The goal of this program is to deal with the causes and effects of high-risk teenage behavior and the chaos that often follows. Ross's first novel, The Other Side of Here, illustrates the ethics and philosophy of "Higher Trails".
Ross and Dee, his wife of 35 years, have two children, three grandchildren and numerous foster children. They live in Calgary Alberta Canada.
