About the Author

Wilma Derksen is the Director of Victim's Voice, a national Canadian program of Mennonite Central Committee Canada that assists people impacted by homicide and violent crime. In that capacity, she has conducted numerous workshops and seminars across Canada and the US. Wilma lost her daughter Candace to homicide in 1984.
