. . .I was sitting in the middle of a political meeting. Me - the foreigner!! The sheiks were representing different tribes in Baghdad and the civilians belonged to some, for me, unknown groups. The next hour was conducted in Arabic and instead of being bored; I was fascinated watching their gestures while they were talking.
