I have added a lot of equations to make it useful as a textbook. I have added 153 references which are important. I divided the book into 17 chapters. These chapters cover 17 important areas of microchips. In each chapter I give only the important concepts, the standard equations and the references they came from. By the time you read this book you can talk to anyone in the microchip industry and ask questions that show what you know. The chapter headings include semiconductor theory, active devices, process characterization, chip fabrication, logic circuits, analog circuits, microprocessors, phase-locked loops, digital signal processors, printed circuit board issues, automatic test equipment, MMICs, transducers, TCAD, power electronics.
