Loni R. Burchett was born in Ashland, Kentucky, raised in Michigan and moved to New Hampshire seventeen years ago. She fell in love with the New England country-side. So much that it inspired her to write the Bear and Katie series. She now lives in Kentucky and also part time in New Hampshire. She says traveling back and forth is like going on a vacation.
