About the Author

Ethel Wood taught a wide variety of social studies classes at Princeton High School in Princeton, New Jersey for 24 years. There she inaugurated the AP World History course in 2001, and continued to teach it for many years. Her students consistently received top scores, with more than 70% scoring a 5 during the 2006-2007 school year. She is also a prolific writer of social studies educational materials, including AP Comparative Government and Politics: A Study Guide and AP Human Geography: A Study Guide.
