About the Author
John Bower s compelling black-and-white photographs have been exhibited in museums and galleries throughout Indiana. Powerful and moving, his images honor a bygone era of individualism and pride. He s been featured in scores of publications, and is a popular public speaker. In recognition of the quality and importance of his work, the Indiana Arts Commission has awarded Bower three Individual Artist Grants. Silent Workplace is his fifth photography book.
