About the Author

Steve Holbert is a 30-year veteran of law enforcement and works at a San Francisco Bay Area police agency. In his law enforcement tenure, Steve has held positions in detectives, crime prevention, traffic, and SWAT. He is a court-recognized expert in traffic investigation and accident reconstruction. In addition to his diverse law enforcement background, Steve is a California POST- certified racial profiling instructor. Steve holds a bachelor's degree from Loma Linda University and a JD degree from Lincoln Law School of San Jose.

Lisa Rose is a San Francisco Bay Area attorney whose work is presently exclusive to research in the areas of police and consumer racial profiling, civil rights, and police practices. She earned her JD degree from Lincoln Law School of San Jose.
