In the beginning it was drawing pictures of airplanes with crayons in kindergarden. Then came plastic models, and gliders. At age 14, when he could finally reach the rudder pedals with the aid of a back cushion it was hitch-hiking to the airport to wash and wax airplanes for fourteen cents per hour towards flight instruction. Earning all of his licenses at the minumum age, Trig Johnston flew skydivers, charters, dead bodies, radioactive medicines - anything to add more hours to his log book and ultimately his life time dream of being an airline pilot. The big day came in June of 1977, but rather than wings being pinned on uniform in a formation of fellow pilots with a brass band playing, they were merely thrown across the Chief pilot's desk by his haggard secretary. Undaunted, Johnston went on to persue his dream of flying the big stuff& throughout the country and across the oceans. Captain Johnston is retired, living comfortably in New River, Arizona.
Captain Max Power finally catches up to some of those who destroyed America's Airlines and thousands of airline employees who were caught in the middle of the unethical hostile take overs. --Captain D.J. Lehman Continental Airlines (Ret)
My heart is beating rapidly. I just struck a match on my tongue! I hope the whole damned book isn't like that, I'd be worn out! --Captain W.L. Kullman Northwest Airlines, (Ret)
A wild Ride! --Clive Cussler
