Rudy Giecek bought the Dumas Brothel in 1990,saving it from the wrecking ball. Rudy has spent all his time since then trying to keep the Dumas alive. He has turned the Dumas into a museum. He offers guided tours of the Dumas and the underground "cribs" that were forgotten since 1943! These cribs are intact with artifacts left there in 1943. The Dumas is Americas longest running house of prostitution. It operated as a brothel (which it was built for) from 1890 to 1982!
When I bought the Dumas Brothel in 1990 I did not believe in ghosts. Since then many things have happened to change my mind. There have been many sightings by tourists and the tour guides. Many photos have been taken at the Dumas that show spirits. While reading the diary a story started to come to me. It was almost like watching a movie! I told my son Jason about it and he said I should put the story that was coming to me into a book. Thats what I did-----Thanks Jason!
