About the Author
Corkey Hay DeSimone's life experiences shape all of her books. She is a mother, a businesswoman, an illustrator, fabric designer, clothing manufacturer and publisher. She sold her first company Corkey's Kids, a children's boutiques clothing company, to pursue her new publishing company Gentle Giraffe Press. In 2003 she published her first book The Planet Hue. Corkey now has 12 books and she designs children's products, including books and apparel for museums, stores and corporations all across the country.
