About the Author

Mangalika de Silva is a PhD student of anthropology at the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research (ASSR) University of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. Niriellage Chandrasiri Niriella is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Urban Studies at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dhananjayan Sriskandarajah is a doctoral candidate in the School of Geography, University of Oxford. Radhika Coomaraswamy directs the International Centre for Ethnic Studies, Colombo and chairs Sri Lanka s Human Rights Commission. She served as United Nations Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women for a decade.
