Rados³aw Piotr Katarzyniak is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Information Science and Engineering, Wroc³aw University of Technology, and at the Faculty of Applied Computer Science, Wroc³aw College of Management and Finance. He received M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 1990 and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1999, both from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, Wroc³aw University of Technology. His major research interests are multiagent systems, semantic communication, information retrieval and knowledge management. He is currently working on ontologies and language grounding in multiagent systems. His teaching includes multiagent systems, information retrieval, knowledge management and database systems. He is an author of over 60 scientific publications (including journal and conference papers) and a co-author of a handbook in networked and multimedia information systems. From 2001 to 2005 he was dean of the Faculty of Applied Computer Science at Wroc³aw College of Management and Finance.
