About the Author

Tom Lutz’ personal and professional life has been filled with change. Educated in the field of mathematics, he made significant contributions in medicine, aviation, psychiatry, and manned space flight as an applied scientist with IBM and the Mayo Clinic. During his 45+ year professional life, God has guided Tom through five career changes; scientist, business leader, educator, consultant, and author. His roles included; ·Vice President, Information/Automation and Procurement, and CIO, ARMCO Advanced Material Corporation ·Director, Graduate Program in Information Systems Management, and Executive in IS, Baylor University School of Business ·Principal and Director of Education, Nolan, Norton & Company ·Director of Programming Education for ITT Worldwide ·Head of Information Systems and CIO, Mayo Clinic & Foundation ·Founder and Director of IBM's Systems Science Institute ·IBM Applied Scientist and Sabbatical Appointee ·Adjunct Professor in Graduate Schools at Pratt Institute (NYC), Kings College (NY) and the University of Minnesota For the last 15 years, Tom has headed Lutz Group International, a consulting firm that helps senior managers and church leaders around the globe lead constructive change in today’s chaotic world. Tom and his wife of 48 years, Cheke, have two living children who have blessed them with nine grandchildren. They have led executive forums across the US and he has lectured in the US, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia. Tom has served as interim pastor on several occasions and they have been part of short-term mission endeavors to Africa.
