About the Author
Rich Owings has been an avid outdoorsman for 30 years. An experienced explorer of the wilderness, he resides on California’s wild and rugged north coast. As Executive Director of Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, he has contributed numerous articles to conservation journals. When not making or studying maps, he prefers to be mountain biking, backpacking, canyoneering or hiking.
