Synopsis
Illustrated storybook with interactive CD-ROM that teaches the science behind the story. The story captures a child's imagination and curiosity about spiders and rainbows. The educational software uses interactive narrated lessons with actual photos to teach children about real spiders. The child can compare spider and insect anatomy, learn about different kinds of spiders and webs, and even mix rainbow colors. The CD-ROM includes printable activities in reading, math and science.

About the Author
Cheryl Block, MA, was a learning disabilities specialist for several years before entering educational publishing. She was Senior Editor for the Critical Thinking Company and authored several educational books in language arts and critical thinking. She started Block Publishing in 2004 and is focusing on science books and software for the elementary grades.
