About the Author

Amanda Roraback is the author of the Nutshell Notes book series that includes Afghanistan in a Nutshell, Iraq in a Nutshell, (both LA Times Bestsellers), Islam in a Nutshell, Pakistan in a Nutshell, Israel-Palestine in a Nutshell, Iran in a Nutshell, and China in a Nutshell. Roraback currently teaches Middle East and World History at Santa Monica College and has acted as a technical reviewer for books on Middle East history (such as The Everything Middle East Book).
