Industry experts are hailing The Guidebook as the first quality publication of its kind and a necessary resource to help accelerate the adoption of HSAs. HealthEquity's CEO and co-founder Stephen Neeleman, MD, authored The Guidebook with renowned authors Hazel Witte, J.D., and Sophie Korczyk, Ph.D. In addition to his duties with HealthEquity, Neeleman is an Assistant Professor of Surgery and a practicing general and trauma surgeon at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Witte and Korczyk previously authored The Complete Idiot's Guide to Managed Health Care (Macmillan 1998). "In authoring The Guidebook, our goal was to write a book that was very user friendly and could help explain the HSA law in a simple and straightforward way," says Neeleman. "As a practicing physician, I believe that HSAs provide the best opportunity to save health care from becoming an inefficient, costly, poor service government program." The authors chose to bind The Guidebook to allow for updates, as more information about HSAs becomes available. Guidebook purchasers will also benefit from a free one (1) year subscription for Guidebook updates that will be mailed by HealthEquity.
